COVID-19: What You Need to Know
At Carevide, the health and safety of our patients are always a top priority. We are continually reviewing and updating our COVID policies to protect our staff, patients, and community. Carevide is here to provide for vaccination, testing, and treatment needs- whether you’re a patient or not.
Patient Safety
Wear a Mask – As a precaution, and for the health and safety of our patients, Carevide will require patients to wear masks and complete health screenings at each of our centers.
Know the Symptoms – If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, or have had close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID in the last week, please call Carevide and speak with someone regarding next steps for your care.
Symptoms: Fever, Cough, Congestion or Runny Nose, Shortness of Breath, Difficulty Breathing, Chills, Body Aches, Headaches, Sore Throat, Loss of Taste or Smell, Nausea/Vomiting or Diarrhea, or Fatigue
Protect Yourself and Others – There are key steps you can take to protect the health and safety of yourself and others.
Get vaccinated. Wear a mask. Maintain social distancing. Avoid poorly ventilated areas and crowds. Get tested if you have symptoms. Quarantine if sick. Wash your hands often. Cover coughs and sneezes. Clean and disinfect high use areas often. Be aware of your own health.
Testing
Carevide does offer COVID testing at all locations. Due to current high demand and low supply, testing will be administered by appointment only.
However, you can request at-home COVID tests to be delivered to your home from the United States Postal Service for free. Shipments will begin in late January. Enter your name, address and email at www.usps.com/covidtest to request a shipment.
Vaccines
Carevide offers all brands of vaccine: Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson& Johnson. Vaccines are available for those aged 5 and up and booster shots are available for those meeting eligibility guidelines. If you have not yet received a COVID-19 vaccine, the CDC strongly recommends getting the COVID-19 vaccine to prevent COVID-19, and to protect your family and the community. Vaccines are administered at no cost to you.
For those in Hunt County, Carevide is also offering a walk up community event where community members can receive a vaccine with no appointment needed. For more information, visit: https://bit.ly/2ZB0lBL
